Mega-beauty brand L’Oreal has teamed up with Schedulicity, an online appointment booking company, to give users the ability to book salon appointments straight from Facebook.
Think of Schedulicity as kind of the Open Table of the salon world.
How it works: Clients can book appointments either on the salon’s Facebook page, the salon’s website or from Schedulicity’s site. For the Facebook option, go to the salon’s page and click on the tab labeled “schedule.” Once there you can click the service you want, and find a time that works for you.
“By partnering with Schedulicity on our newly launched Social Expert program on Facebook, we are offering our salons’ customers the convenience of booking appointments online anytime, day or night,” said Anne Cary Booth, interactive marketing manager at L’Oréal Professionnel, in a press release.
The press release also said Schedulicity was chosen as the appointment booking solution by L’Oreal because of its “leadership position in online appointment booking and its proven ability to easily integrate into any Facebook business page or Web site.”
We found many of our local L’Oreal salons already had the Facebook appointment booking functionality on their pages.
Readers, would you book an appointment on Facebook if your salon offered it?
