LinkedIn Adds Portuguese, Takes Aim at Brazil

Portuguese joined English, French, German, and Spanish on the list of languages supported by professional networking site LinkedIn, as it is turning its attention toward Brazil.

LinkedIn said it has more than 1 million members in Brazil, as well as more than 8,000 LinkedIn Groups, and the company quoted Ibope Nielsen Online as saying that the country has more than 66 million Internet users.

The site currently has operations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, and the Netherlands.
