LinkedIn: Here’s How to Control Who Can Send You Invitations to Connect

Stop strangers from trying to join your network

By default, anyone on LinkedIn can ask you to be their connection. But what if you don’t want to receive connection invitations from people you don’t know? Our guide will show you how to change this setting within the LinkedIn mobile application.

Step 1: Tap your profile picture in the top-left corner of the screen.

Step 2: Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Tap “Communications.”

Step 4: Tap “Who can send you invitations.”

Step 5: Tap either “Only people who know your email address or appear in your ‘Imported Contacts’ list” or “Only people who appear in your ‘Imported Contacts’ list” to limit the users who can send you invitations to connect.
