GQ Loses Another Critical Style Component

Global fashion director Lisa Fields jumps to Modern Luxury.

After 14 years at GQ, associate publisher of GQ Style and global fashion director Lisa Fields has moved on. She is now associate publisher, fashion and retail for the Modern Luxury group of magazines.

Coming on the heels of “Style Guy” Glenn O’Brien’s abrupt exit, Fields’ departure continues the radical reshaping of that side of the magazine. From the Modern Luxury announcement:

“Lisa and I worked together for eight years at GQ,” says Marcy Bloom, senior vice president and group publisher at Modern Luxury, “so I know how talented she is and how respected she is in the community. Lisa is acutely aware of the demands of the evolving luxury retail and fashion community and understands how to deliver branding and ROI. Lisa’s expertise will continue to elevate our unique brand mission.”

Before her time at Condé Nast, Fields worked at Travel + Leisure, Mirabella and Gotham and Hamptons magazines. In 2013, Fields was honored as “GQ Salesperson of the Year.” She started at Modern Luxury Sept. 9 and reports to Bloom.
