It remains, in our humble and politically incorrect opinion, one of the great reasons to look forward to 2017. As teased recently by New York behemoth Authentic Brands Group (ABG), actress and proud mom Megan Fox will this coming February unveil an all-new Fredrick’s of Hollywood lingerie collection and ad campaign. As a part owner.


Above is the headline that ran about the ABG announcement in the Los Angeles Business Journal. Our answer, in a year that will see the release of Tranformers: The Last Knight, is most definitely yes. Retro is cool again, so unless something is spectacularly mishandled here, it will be a success story. (As a public service to our readers, we have refrained from a “last night” punchline involving Fredrick’s about-to-be relaunched va-va-voom; make up your own.)

ABG acquired Fredrick’s of Hollywood out of bankruptcy in June 2015. You can bet that some other interesting discussions were held with potential stakeholders. It all worked out for the best, and things look good for Fredrick’s as it gets ready to celebrate its 70th anniversary year.
