Metro U.S. Marketing Director Leaves for Dow Jones

Lauren Berkemeyer is leaving her position as marketing director for Metro Newspapers’ U.S. division to become head of consumer marketing for Wall Street Journal Europe and Dow Jones Interactive. Her last day at Metro is June 3.

“Leaving Metro at such a bright time in the company’s history was an extremely tough decision to make, and while I am sad to leave such a great company and wonderful job, I’m extremely excited about what lies ahead,” she wrote in an email announcement to friends and colleagues.

Before joining Metro in October 2006, Berkemeyer worked as marketing manager for Western Interiors and Design and marketing coordinator at Fortune.
