Lifetime is looking to make it easy for celebrity fashion lovers to find all their favorite red carpet looks in one place.
The female-oriented network has launched All the Looks, a new channel on myLifetime.com which houses a database of celebrity hair and fashion photos which, according to officials, numbers in the tens of thousands. In fact, Lifetime has initially compiled images from over 2,000 red carpet events from over the years for the new channel, which also features looks from over 450 fashion designers. That list will grow over time as myLifetime.com ads photos from upcoming celebrity-studded events.
Users can search within All the Looks for photos of specific celebrities or designers, and also by more general variables such as hair color and pattern. Besides photos, the new channel will be populated by original editorial content, including guest commentary from celebrities and designers along with several regular blogs penned by prominent fashion insiders. For example, the site has landed a commitment from the Hollywood designer Anna Sui—who has created a line for Target based on Gossip Girl—to produce a custom ‘lookbook’ for the site composed of her favorite celebrity looks.
Since relaunching its signature Web brand nearly two years ago, Lifetime has become more aggressive online, particularly in the fashion space. Last year the network launched DressUpChallenge.com, a fashion/celebrity-themed gaming/community site. And recently myLifetime.com began streaming full episodes of Project Runway.
