NBC Local Media announced two promotions within its digital organization: Gregory Gittrich to vice president, digital media, editor in chief, from VP of content and editor in chief, and Lora Le Sage to VP, digital media, operations, from manager of digital efforts in Chicago.
In his new role, Gittrich will oversee overall product vision, including the 10 NBC “Locals Only” city sites; its new “Feast” products and franchises; user acquisition and retention across Web and mobile platforms; and marketing of the group’s digital products. He will also continue managing editorial and content aspects.
Le Sage will now oversee product development, advertising sales, business operations, and finance.
The company also announced that Brian Buchwald, who led the local integrated media team, is leaving to pursue another opportunity.
Gittrich and Le Sage report to president of local media platforms Greg Scholl, who said:
Greg (Gittrich) has played a pivotal role in our audience and revenue growth and the evolution of our products. He brings the right blend of creativity and business savvy to this new role, along with a keen editorial vision that is consistent with NBC’s impressive legacy. We look forward to his thought leadership as we continue to build local audiences and become woven into their social conversations, and develop creative and innovative ways to serve our clients.
We’re excited for Lora to take on this larger role in our organization. Her organization and process competence, knowledge of the space, and understanding of how to work with both the local and national sides of our organization will accelerate our business as we continue to grow our audience and create new products for small to medium businesses.
