New Firmware Update for the Pocketbook IQ

Pocketbook has released a new firmware update for its Android tablet.

The IQ is based on a 7″ Android tablet which has a lot in common with the Cruz Reader and Pandigital Novel.  like the other 2 tablets, the IQ has a resistive touchscreen, Wifi, SD card slot, and 2 speakers. But the IQ also has 3 extra hardware buttons as well as a different suite t of software.

The new firmware brings a new menu interface and icons, as well as a file manager and support for installing apps on the SD card. You can also delete non-critical parts of the IQ’s firmware (text to speech component, for example). It also includes a number of other bug fixes.
