Eye-Fi produces a line of cleveryly designed SD flash storage cards for digital cameras that includes a self-contained wireless LAN function and a mechanism to automatically copy digital photos and videos wirelessly from a camera to a computer or web photo service. I stopped using my Eye-Fi card a while back. So, I missed this announcement last month:
The Eye-Fi Center is available as Mac OS X and Windows apps. It replaces Eye-Fi Manager which was a combination of a small utility shim that provided a gateway to a browser based management tool. Unfortunately, you can’t switch between the two to decide which one you prefer to use. Installing Eye-Fi Center effectively disables the older web-based Eye-Fi Manager.
