Twitter For Mac Now Features Expandable Timelines, Explorable Tweets, Slicker Design

Twitter has updated the official Twitter For Mac application with a number of new features, including expandable timelines, plus a revised design that brings the product into line with its other apps.

Twitter has outlined the new features on the official blog, which include:

Expand your timeline: Timelines now display previews for Twitter photos, making it easier to skim through new Tweets. If you prefer the old look, you can turn off previews within your preferences.

Explore your Tweets: Now when you click a Tweet, you’ll be taken to a detailed view that includes photos, favorite and retweet counts, and other Tweets in the conversation.

See more in profiles: We’ve changed the way profiles look — now you can see a profile banner header, the people the user is following and followed by, and much more.

You can download the new Twitter for Mac now.
