Newser Dismisses The Wrap’s Cease and Desist as a ‘Publicity Stunt’

The brass at Newser aren’t taking The Wrap’s cease and desist order to stop using their content very seriously it seems.

Yesterday, Newser’s Michael Wolff responded to the threat by writing about The Wrap founder and editor Sharon Waxman’s purportedly unethical business dealings with Starbucks’ CEO Howard Schultz.

The latest is a letter from Newser CEO Patrick Spain sent to the author of The Wrap’s cease and desist, lawyer Mark E. Avsec. Spain says he didn’t even bother to seek legal counsel over The Wrap’s threat, and essentially dismisses the cease and desist as a publicity stunt.
