Nielsen Social Content Ratings, Week of April 3: March Madness’ Last Gasp

College basketball's championship game tallied 8.63 million interactions across Facebook and Twitter

The University of North Carolina’s victory over Gonzaga University in the title game of the 2016-17 NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Championship tournament dominated the Nielsen Social Content Ratings for the week of April 3.

CBS’ presentation of the final college basketball clash of the 2016-17 season tallied 8.63 million interactions across Facebook and Twitter, blowing away Sunday’s final-round coverage of The Masters, also on CBS, which drove and putted its way to 2.301 million interactions across the two social networks.

On the series and specials list, WWE Monday Night Raw on USA Network edged Fox’s Prison Break by a count of 858,000 total interactions across Facebook and Twitter to 852,000.
