NYT Touches Up ‘Business Day’ Web Page

The Times recently moved two reporters to its economy beat, and now Business Day has a new-ish Web page. The business section’s main page now looks a lot like the Times‘ home page, with two small ads flanking the “Business Day” logo and a scrolling feed of Times and wire stories on the right rail. The paper’s business desk has also added staff over the past couple years, according to Ad Age.

We wonder if these moves mark an incursion on The Wall Street Journal, which is going after the Times by slashing ad rates and, of course, planning to launch a New York metro section on April 26th.
