One In Three Ad And Marketing Execs Are Gonna Hire…Digital

One in three advertising and marketing executives anticipate increasing hiring in the next twelve months, and 55 percent plan to keep staffing levels constant, according to a national study from The Creative Group. That leaves just 12 percent of firms that still think layoffs are on the way.

Of the companies that are hiring, more than half (52 percent) are looking for web designers or producers, 50 percent will seek out art directors, and 48 percent will be looking to bring in both interactive and account service staff.

The outlook is a bit more bleak for copywriters, as just 26 percent of execs thought they’d be hiring any in the next year; print design and PR scored similarly (25 and 23 percent, respectively).
