Open Road to Produce First ‘E-riginal Title’

Open Road Integrated Media just announced its first “E-riginal title”: Negotiating With Evil by former U.S. State Department staffer Mitchell B. Reiss. It is the company’s first foray into original publication, alongside a slate of eBook reprints of backlist titles.

The new book will “explore why, when, and whether negotiations with terrorists can be successful–and when they break down or fail–through examining six contemporary examples.” Open Road will create extra multimedia content for the book, and help update the eBook as necessary with new research.

Open Road CEO Jane Friedman had this statement: “Negotiating With Evil is a perfect example of the 360-degree world we are creating for our E-riginals. Our team is planning a robust marketing campaign and producing original videos about Mitchell’s life and work.
