Pandora Reveals Pandora Plus Premium Subscription Service

The premium subscription service will give users access to replays, unlimited skips and offline listening.

Music streaming platform Pandora revealed Pandora Plus, a premium subscription service that will give users access to replays, unlimited skips and offline listening.

With Pandora Plus, subscribers will be able to replay songs by tapping the replay button. Users will be able to replay the last songs they heard or go back through their “listening sessions” and replay previous tracks.

In addition, subscribers will have access to unlimited skips, which will let them skip as many songs as they’d like.

Finally, Pandora will allow subscribers to continue listening to music even if they lose their data connections.

Pandora explained offline listening in a blog post:

When you hit that signal dead zone, the music won’t skip a beat. We’ll have already queued up your top three stations (plus your Thumbprint Radio if you’ve added it), and your listening experience will effortlessly go into offline mode. No need to even pull your phone out. It just works.

Pandora Plus will cost $4.99 per month, and it will roll out to users on iOS and Android smartphones “in the coming months.”

Elsewhere, Pandora said non-subscribers will also receive access to new features in the future. Specifically, when these users run out of song skips or want to replay tracks, they’ll be able to watch video ads to access these features.
