Spruced officially launched Pasted, a photo collage application on iOS.
Rather than creating standard collages, with photos placed on a grid, the app cuts pictures into interesting shapes and allows users to customize their collages before sharing them to social media. As reported by TechCrunch, the app was the idea of James Mercer, lead singer of music group The Shins.
With Pasted, users can create a collage by selecting one or more pictures from their camera rolls, which are automatically “cut” into unique shapes and placed in the collage. Users can rearrange and rotate pictures, and they can also edit each picture to add more content to the “cut out” or take some away. Finally, users can add a background, filter and stickers to a collage to finish it off.
The app’s stickers are organized into themed packs, such as “Alphabet” and “90’s Vibes.” Some packs are available for free, while others can be unlocked via in-app purchase.
Once a collage is finished, users can save it to their camera roll, or share it to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram from within the app.
Pasted is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store.
