Facebook tapped Philippa Snare, chief marketing officer in the U.K. for Microsoft, as its new director of business marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Shona Ghosh of Marketing reported that Snare will go on “gardening leave” for several months prior to joining the social network.
A Facebook spokesperson told Ghosh Snare will lead all of Facebook’s business-to-business marketing efforts in the EMEA region.
According to Business Insider, Snare succeeds Deborah Hale, who left Facebook after a little more than one year to become a campaign coordinator at Project Everyone.
Snare told Business Insider via Twitter that she was “very excited and very lucky … and healthily nervous” to begin her new role.
