Playboy to Launch Tamer Site in Search for New Ad Revenues

Playboy plans to launch a new Web site,, with non-nude fare designed to appeal to advertisers reticient about positioning their brands alongside bare bodacious ta ta’s.

PaidContent says
the strategy is “aimed at slightly tamer rivals like Maxim, which has captured much of Playboy’s targeted readers over the past decade, despite past troubles of its own.”

The new, safe-for-work site accompanies other digital plans, including a mobile version of Playboy TV and a recently launched interactive chat room.
