Roll Call: F-H, Allison & Partners, McDonald’s, and More

Kara Hendon has been promoted from deputy GM to GM of Fleishman-Hillard’s Kansas City office. Hendon has been with the firm for 13 years, working on product launches, crisis comms, and in other service areas. She has also served as head of the firm’s food and agribusiness division (which was recently expanded to include nutrition legislation) and has been responsible for national and international healthcare programs. The office’s previous GM, Betsey Solberg, is now an executive consultant.

Bill Whitman has left his position as U.S. chief comms officer at McDonald’s, PRWeek reports. He was with the firm for 13 years. He says he has no immediate future plans but would like to explore work related to philanthropy.

Christopher Roe has joined Allison & Partners as GM of the firm’s San Diego office. He was previously strategic director of business development, marketing, and PR at design firm Hellmuth Obata + Kassabaum and has 20 years of PR experience.

Keri Firstenberg Prestia has joined Nancy J. Friedman PR, a firm focused on travel, lifestyle, and hospitality clients, as VP. Prestia was most recently with Harrison & Shriftman leading the lifestyle and travel division.

The AES Corporation, a global power company, has added Joel Abramson as VP of IR. He has been with the company since 1995 and was most recently responsible for the company’s Portfolio Management group. He’ll continue to manage that team while performing his new duties. Abramson replaces Ahmed Pasha who is now MD of M&A.
