Roll Call: Ogilvy, Porter Novelli and Stanton & Company

Ogilvy Public Relations announced that Jennifer Wayman, MHS, Ogilvy Washington’s executive vice president and group director of Social Marketing, has been promoted to managing director of US Social Marketing effective January 1, 2014. In her new role, Wayman will work with Robert Mathias, Ogilvy PR’s North American CEO, to grow the agency’s social marketing expertise across the agency’s US offices and apply best practices of behavior change to new and existing clients. Wayman started her career as an intern with Ogilvy PR in 1990, as the social marketing practice was just beginning. Since 2003, she has been serving as the leader of the Social Marketing group in the agency’s Washington, DC office. (Release)

Porter Novelli announced that Brad MacAfee, senior partner and managing director of the agency’s Atlanta office, has been appointed president, North America, effective January 1, 2014. In this role, MacAfee will be responsible for the growth, profitability and talent development of Porter Novelli’s ffices in the U.S. and Canada. He will continue leading the agency’s successful Atlanta office. During his tenure, MacAfee has served as Global Technology practice leader, interim managing director of the San Francisco and Chicago offices, and has been a member of the firm’s diversity initiative. Today, MacAfee is a member of the agency’s executive committee and talent advisory board, and serves as executive client leader for clients in the technology, health care, and government sectors. In support of the agency’s continued growth, Stanton & Company announced Jody Sowa as public relations director of the agency. Sowa will lead all brand PR initiatives for Stanton & Company, overseeing strategic planning and targeted press outreach on behalf of the agency’s key clients and business development with a focus on sports, entertainment, lifestyle and fitness. Sowa comes to Stanton & Company from New York PR agency, M&C Saatchi PR, leading PR initiatives for the company’s high-profile sports clients. Additionally, S&Co’s PR manager Leah–Vail Soloff has been promoted to PR supervisor. Soloff will continue to work with her existing roster of clients and will have additional responsibility developing the agency’s client base in the nutrition, health and wellness and beauty sectors.
