We here at FBLA love the San Diego CityBeat — as, shockingly, it’s the closest thing to an old-school lefty alt-rag within 300 miles of Los Angeles. So we were dismayed to learn that yesterday was CityBeat arts and culture editor Seth Combs last day on the job. Combs offered his resignation earlier this month, and finally stepped down after the paper hired longtime CityBeat music writer Peter Holslin to replace him.
Combs, who’s primarily a music writer, told the San Diego blog Dialed In that he needed some time off to rediscover his voice and his passion for music.
Good luck out there sir.
