Namco Bandai Games Europe has announced the launch of Play Fripp’s Gregg on iOS and Android devices. In Gregg, players must use their wits and reflexes to save a group of sleepwalking chickens from their doom, with gameplay resembling that of the classic video game Lemmings. In each level of Gregg, players must guide sleepwalking chickens to the exit by creating a path for them to avoid obstacles, like pits. Gregg is shaped like a square, so they can use Gregg’s own body as a platform in certain circumstances, but elsewhere, players will need to rely on water geysers, floating dice, wooden crates and more to create the paths. Players move Gregg by tapping and dragging him around the screen. The game’s chickens move automatically, so players may need to rapidly move Gregg around to keep up with them, especially in levels where his body serves as the level’s only available moving platform.

Levels also contain puzzle pieces, adding to the complexity of each, as players can move Gregg to collect these pieces, but must also keep an eye on the progress of the chicken at all times. If players collect enough puzzle pieces, they’ll unlock bonus stages in each world. Gregg comes with 20 free levels, and offers 60 additional stages for $0.99. The base app is now available to download for free on iOS and Google Play. Check back soon to follow Gregg on AppData, our tracking service for mobile and social apps and developers.
