Seuss’s The Lorax Comes to iPad and iPhone

He speaks for the trees! The Lorax, Dr. Seuss’s little environmentalist, who tried to save the Truffula trees from the Once-ler’s expanding Thneed factory, would probably be happy to appear in an eBook–no trees were harmed in its publication.

But, cuteness aside (we love The Lorax at eBN HQ), Ocean House Media has just released an eBook app of Seuss’s classic book for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The app, which is universal, meaning it works on both iPad and iPhone, costs $3.99 and offers the same kinds of features (read-aloud, word-definitions, page-flip animations) as previous Ocean House Media Seuss titles.

Ocean House also released The Lorax Garden, a children’s game based on the book, and Dr. Seuss Senders, a greeting card app, at the same time. Ocean House currently has nine Seuss apps available in the app store.
