The Sidney Hillman Foundation will present its annual prizes on May 26th at the Hudson Theatre in Manhattan. The Foundation awards prizes to books, newspapers, magazines, radio broadcasts, photographs and blogs that best foster social and economic justice.
This year’s panel of judges included Hendrik Hertzberg, senior editor of The New Yorker; Harold Meyerson, editor at large for The American Prospect and columnist for the Washington Post; Katrina vanden Heuvel, editor and publisher of The Nation; Susan Meiselas, Magnum photographer; Rose Marie Arce, a senior producer for CNN; and Charles Kaiser of the Full Court Press and The Sidney Hillman Foundation.
