Social games news roundup: Tetris Online launches bubble shooter, Dungeon Rampage’s got sweet new weapons and gets in on the joy of cola

Tetris Online gets in on the bubble shooter genre: Today, Tetris Online officially moved into the popular (and crowded) bubble shooter field with Bubble Pop Battle. As opposed to other bubble shooters, though, Bubble Pop Battle has players competing against others in one-on-one matches much like Tetris Battle.

Dungeon Rampage summons new upgrades: Rebel Entertainment announced two new Holiday treats for its action RPG Dungeon Rampage. First up is the Ranger character’s new “wolf slayer” skin (if bought by Jan. 7, players get the “sleigh-er” skin for free). After that, Rebel’s announced a number of new legendary weapons for seasoned players to access. and Pepsi team up in Turkey: announced this week it was joining forces with Pepsi for a new marketing partnership in Turkey. For the next three months, Bubble Witch Saga’s logo will appear on 50 million Pepsi cans in the country. On top of that, all Pepsi cans and bottles during this time will come with codes that can be redeemed in games for in-game credits and upgrades.

Pocket God gets Apocalypse update: From Dec. 17 through Dec. 24, Pocket God on Facebook is featuring  five new quests based on an impending apocalypse.  Players who complete the quests can unlock the “Mayan Crypt” island, which is specifically designed for sacrificing pygmies in new and interesting ways.

Animoca rolls out new Holiday game, updates:  Pretty Pet developer Animoca revealed it’s launching a new Holiday-themed game, Pretty Pet Toy Store, as well as themed updates to Pet Cafe 2 and Star Girl. The new game has players run a chain of toy stores while hiring Pretty Pets characters to help run the shops.

MyVegas gets winter makeover, Holiday contests: Playstudios announced this week that it’s giving MyVegas some pretty major updates and launching some contests for players. The latter are running on the games’ official Facebook and Twitter pages and include, survey contests, trivia contests and photo contests. Meanwhile the game’s virtual strip is getting winter-themed decorations in weekly updates including snow, Santa Claus and New Year’s Eve elements.

GREE launches NFL Shuffle on iOS [Launch]: Today, GREE launched its newest iOS game, NFL Shuffle. The game’s a free-to-play card game featuring real NFL players that’s officially licensed by both the NFLPA and NFL-E . Players will be able to play against AI teams, but other players as well.
