If opinion writing is your thing, you and may be the perfect match. If you’ve already gotten the piece written down, editors will even accept your on-spec submission.

The “Opinion” section is one of the best places to get your foot in the door. Editors are looking for a diverse troop of voices with a strong opinion on just about any topic (but save your views on fashion, politics and lifestyle issues that have no bearing on tech culture for another outlet). Articles for this section run from about 700 to 1,200 words, are almost always written in the first person and can be submitted on spec.
