It’s the busiest week of the year for tax service companies, as they make the final PR push before the tax filing deadline on April 15th.
Agency CooperKatz has handled Jackson-Hewitt for many years. This year, the company is hosting a ‘Big Check’ contest on Facebook where taxpayers are submitting their plans for how they will put their income tax refund to use this year. The contest winner, selected by online voters, will win $3,000.
Outcast Communications handles TurboTax, a division of Intuit. An Outcast rep told PRNewser, “Across social channels, like our Live Community, TurboTax Blog, Facebook Page, and Twitter, we easily answer hundreds of thousands of customer questions about taxes or TurboTax.” Last year, the company received attention for launching into social channels like Twitter.
While TurboTax doesn’t specifically count the number of media they deal with each tax season, they said it is easily in the “hundreds.”
