The Wall Street Journal Debuts India Real Time Blog

The Wall Street Journal launched a blog to provide readers with updates on business, finance, politics, culture, and sports in India, India Real Time.

Reporters from the WSJ and Dow Jones Newswires will contribute to the blog, which follows the launch last month of The Wall Street Journal India Mobile, an agreement announced in February with leading Indian job site, the launch of WSJ‘s dedicated India site, the launch of a rural India site with India Knowledge@Wharton, the launch of the India Chief Mentor blog, and the launch of an India management page.

WSJ editor in chief, Asia Almar Latour said:

India Real Time expands our offering of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones’ real-time analysis of Asia’s most important markets and follows in the footsteps of the highly successful China Real Time Report, which has a strong following in China and around the world.

And South Asia bureau chief Paul Beckett added:

India Real Time will provide readers globally with quick and interesting insights into the most important and most interesting news on any given day in the world’s largest democracy. It will be unique in its analysis, combining the editorial heft of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires in India with a sharp and entertaining presentation befitting the format. We hope readers with an interest in India worldwide will find it a valuable resource and will join the conversation it will spark. David Cohen is editor of Adweek's Social Pro Daily.
