The Wall Street Journal Professional Edition Launches

The Wall Street Journal just got a little more professional, launching The Wall Street Journal Professional Edition Thursday, which adds global content from Dow Jones Factiva and Dow Jones Newswires.

The Wall Street Journal Professional Edition also offers users the ability to search more than 17,000 global business and news sources, many of which are not usually available free-of-charge. Users can also customize news alerts and company profiles for the industries and topics that are most relevant to them.

The service costs $49 per month, and existing subscribers will receive a discounted rate.

Dow Jones & Co. editor in chief and The Wall Street Journal managing editor Robert Thomson said:
