Thomson Reuters is a satisfied passenger on the iPad bandwagon, with consumer publishing division senior vice president Alisa Bowen telling paidContent:UK in an audio interview that the Apple tablet is “the perfect platform to engage with C-level executives.”
Bowen told paidContent:UK the publisher’s NewsPro app, which offers news and basic market data, has been downloaded more than 75,000 times, adding that the app’s users are spending three times as much time per session than users of Reuters.com.
She added on the iPad, “It provides us with a consumer touch point for those who are business-to-business customers of ours. That’s an important brand extension.”
