Trumped: Donald Says He Will ‘Shut Down Certain Mosques’

Freedom of Religion? MEH!

Let’s begin this musing by offering a big shout-out to the GOP frontrunner, Donald J. Trump.

Without his barrage of #PRFail faux-pas verbal regurgitation on a weekly basis, the PRNewserverse would not have such a perfect example of ‘what not to do when confronted with a TV camera and a microphone’ during client meetings.

And since there is no end to his trumpness on the horizon, we’ll just make it a random series. Here is the inaugural post of “Trumped.”

During a telephone interview on Fox Business Network with Stuart Varney, Trump offered this racially-tinged gem when asked if he would follow the fine example of British Prime Minister David Cameron who has closed U.K. mosques if considered linked to ISIS:

“Absolutely, good, good. I would do that. I think it’s great.”

Um, sorry? Varney, not exactly a constitutional scholar, brought up that whole Freedom of Religion thing. He asked, “Can you close a mosque? … We do have religious freedom.”

“Well, I don’t know. I mean, I haven’t heard about the closing of the mosque. It depends, if the mosque is, you know, loaded for bear, I don’t know. You’re going to have to certainly look at it. But I can tell you one thing, if somebody goes over and they want to fight for ISIS, they wouldn’t be coming back.”

I don’t mean to speak in French, but what in the blue hell is “loaded for bear”?!

Is this a new surreptitious criminal power from another country where Trump was educated because he now is trying to secure Secret Service detail? Is that a hyper-sensitive repellant for Sarah Palin and her ilk?

As we ponder that, it is becoming abundantly clear that as the #PRFail is flung across the lectern like baboon poo at the local zoo, Trump grows in popularity. Yes, Congress, you have been that bad.

Enjoy what you have created.
