Tweet Microsoft with Windows 7 Questions

The customer-service department at Microsoft quietly launched a Twitter account, @MicrosoftHelps, which will initially focus on the release of new operating system Windows 7 but eventually cover all of the software giant’s products and services, Channel 10 reports.

Before launching the Twitter account, Microsoft consulted with the social-media team from Best Buy, as its @twelpforce has been a success for the consumer-electronics retailer, according to Channel 10.

Microsoft told Channel 10 it doesn’t expect to be able to respond to every single question, but it hopes to provide answers about Windows 7 or direct tweeters to the appropriate forums for more complex queries. David Cohen is editor of Adweek's Social Pro Daily.
