The 2018 National Football League season kicked off Thursday night, and Twitter marked the occasion by revealing details about livestreamed shows on its network from NFL Media and ESPN, as well as hashtag-triggered emojis for all 32 teams.

NFL Digital Media’s The Checkdown “football culture brand” will be expanded to a livestreamed show on Twitter Thursdays and Sundays from 7:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. ET.

The Checkdown will examine the buzziest NFL-related conversations taking place on social media during the week, with hosts including NFL Network host Colleen Wolfe, NFL Network analyst James Jones, comedian Megan Gailey and NFL Network analysts Michael Irvin, Steve Smith Sr. and Reggie Bush.

And the Around the NFL podcast team of Dan Hanzus, Gregg Rosenthal, Marc Sessler and Chris Wesseling will host a weekly livestreamed show Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET.

The Checkdown and Around the NFL will be available via @NFL.

For fantasy football fans, ESPN’s Fantasy Focus Live will be livestreamed on @fantasyfocus weekdays at 11 a.m. ET.

Fantasy experts Matthew Berry, Field Yates, Stephania Bell and Daniel Dopp will provide player previews, injury reports, game overviews and strategies, and the show will also feature guests and interviews.

Finally, Twitter revealed hashtag-triggered emojis for all 32 clubs in the league. David Cohen is editor of Adweek's Social Pro Daily.
