Unfold, a mobile application that allows users to create Instagram Stories posts using a variety of templates and other tools, partnered with Tommy Hilfiger to launch a limited-edition template collection called Unfold & Tommy.
The Unfold & Tommy templates were inspired by Tommy Hilfiger’s Spring 2019 TommyXZendaya collection, which will debut at Paris Fashion Week March 2. Unfold’s users on iOS and Android will have access to 15 Unfold & Tommy templates until March 12. Each template allows users to upload their own photos and videos and combine them with text and “color tools” to create posts that they can share on Instagram Stories.
Andy McCune, co-founder and chief operating officer of Unfold, said, “We’re excited to be partnering with Tommy Hilfiger for this inventive campaign that will bring its iconic runway show to life through Unfold’s modern approach to empowering user-generated content for brands. Unfold continues to innovate through partnering brands like Tommy Hilfiger, leveraging the impact and reach of the Stories format through the power of design. This partnership allows Tommy Hilfiger to tap into our community of 16 million storytellers—one of the most creative and digitally engaged audiences on the planet.”
In honor of this partnership, McCune and Unfold co-founder Alfonso Cobo will take over Tommy Hilfiger’s Instagram Stories during the TOMMYNOW runway show in Paris March 2. They’ll share both “backstage and front-row moments” with Tommy Hilfiger’s Instagram followers.
This partnership is the latest from Unfold’s “Unfold for Brands” service, which works with brands to create custom template collections. Unfold for Brands debuted last November.
