Developer Vizor Interactive launched Zombie Castaways, a zombie-themed simulation and farming game on mobile. The game is the follow-up to Zombie Island, a Facebook game that has reportedly been played by more than 70 million players. Zombie Castaways follows a zombie who has fallen in love with a living girl, and must now brew Zombium in order to become a human and win her heart.
Zombie Castaways allows players to explore a series of tropical islands as they collect and spend tools to clear debris and collect building materials and resources. Players are led through the game by quests, which may ask them to farm crops, repair ruined buildings around the islands and more. Users can also craft new materials using the basic resources they collect around the islands.
In addition, players have access to zombie workers including woodcutters, stone miners, fisherman, treasure hunters and cooks. These workers can be assigned to tasks, and they’ll collect resources for players automatically over time.
In a statement, Vladimir Yatsukevich, lead game designer at Vizor Interactive, commented:
The global success of Zombie Island on Facebook is a testament to the popularity of these misunderstood creatures. Creating Zombie Castaways for mobile devices is a natural fit for gamers of all ages on the go who are looking for a fresh take on zombies, and for the millions of fans already in love with the game.
