M5859 Studios has announced the release of BBC’s Walking with Dinosaurs: Dino Run, the movie game created in association with the Walking with Dinosaurs 3D film which released in theaters today, December 20. The game sees players entering the world of Patchi the Pachyrhinosaurus, running, jumping and dodging obstacles as they escape the Gorgosaurus.

Walking with Dinosaurs: Dino Run is an endless runner in the same style as Temple Run or Subway Surfers. The game sees players swiping left and right to control Patchi’s movement across three lanes, and swiping up or down to jump over or destroy obstacles.

Players collect leaves as they run, and can spend these on upgrades, like leaf magnets and lucky butterflies, which act as temporary shields.

Players can also spend real money on multiple premium upgrades, including a permanent leaf doubler, which makes ever leaf collected worth two. New locations and additional playable characters are also available for purchase, with each character having their own ability. Scowler, for instance, can super charge through all tree and rock obstacles, while Juniper can be revived at a cheaper cost.

Walking with Dinosaurs: Dino Run is now available to download on iOS for $0.99. M5859 Studios has announced plans to release regular updates for the game, including new levels in both a forest and cretaceous swamp.
