When Closure Doesn’t Really Mean Closure

Four titles that Reed Business Information said it would sell last week are actually being sold off to the titles’ management team, minonline reports.

Reed will sell Logistics Management, Modern Materials Handling, Supply Chain Management Review and Material Handling Product News to Peerless Media, a new company formed by Brian Ceraolo, the publisher who managed these four titles for Reed.

“Both the editorial and sales staffs will remain the same,” Ceraolo told min’s b2b. All will remain headquartered in Boston.

This is not like a buyer stepping in at the eleventh hour…more like the thirteenth hour. Happy dance!
