With All Due Respect Hits the Road for Romney’s E2, Bush, Clinton

Busy weekend.

Fresh off a round of new hires, With All Due Respect is crisscrossing the country, or at least Mark Halperin is while John Heilemann anchors from the safety of Bloomberg’s New York studio. Today and tomorrow evening, Halperin will be in Deer Valley, Utah at Mitt Romney‘s E2 Summit, where he’ll be interviewing confirmed GOP nominee hopeful Lindsey Graham and all-buts Scott Walker and John Kasich. (Megyn Kelly and Kate Couric are among the other media luminaries attending.) Meanwhile, back in New York, Heilemann will interview Rick Santorum in the studio this evening.

That will give those candidates some mic time before Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton steal the show a few days later, Clinton with her large Roosevelt Island rally on Saturday, and Bush with his planned June 15 announcement. Halperin will cover the announcement live from Miami.

With All Due Respect is billing its full dance card as a “2016 Tour de Force.” Asked about how the show hopes to sustain audience interest in the candidates over the 516 days that remain before the 2016 election, Bloomberg Politics executive editor Tom Johnson told FishbowlDC, “We want to hear from every one of these candidates early and often. It’s shaping up to be a historic field, and there are a lot of questions we want to ask.”
