Workplace by Facebook, the social network’s enterprise offering and answer to Slack, topped 2 million paid users.

That total does not include its free tier or the educational and non-governmental organizations accessing the platform via its Workplace for Good initiative.

There are now more than 150 companies with over 10,000 users on the platform.

Workplace by Facebook debuted in October 2016 and began charging for its services in October 2017.

Companies that signed up for the platform over the past year included Nestlé, Vodafone, GSK, Telefonica, AstraZeneca, Delta Airlines and National Australia Bank.

Vice president Julien Codorniou wrote in a blog post, “Workplace connects everyone in an organization—from the CEO to the newest recruit, from two people to 200,000-plus—using familiar Facebook features like chat, video calling, posts and groups, providing a simple and secure way for people to share knowledge, work together and build connected, meaningful communities.”

He added, “We have a saying at Facebook that the journey is only 1 percent finished. This is true for Workplace, as well. We have more lessons to learn and more features to build. We’ll do it with humility, by listening to our customers and continuing to earn their trust and serve their employees every day.”
