WWE Addresses ISIS Rumors for Survivor Series

ISIS really doesn't want Roman Reigns to win the WWE belt.

Ever since the tragic events in Paris, ISIS has been the centerpiece of national news. The diabolical group of terrorists have released videos threatening the Vatican, Rome, and the United States.

“We bring (French President Francois) Hollande and the people around him the good tidings – as we bring Obama and the people around him the good tidings – of more of these strikes. Allah willing, we shall roast them with explosive belts and car bombs.”

There doesn’t seem to be any limit that these sardonic nitwits will not go. And then then rumor mill churned out another target — the next “pay-per-view” of World Wrestling Entertainment, Survivor Series.

The report from WSB-TV in Atlanta (CBS-2) also shared the note from the FBI:

“The FBI is aware of reports of an alleged threat that includes an Atlanta, Georgia venue and event. While we take all threats seriously, we do not have specific or credible information of an attack at this time. We have, however, made the proper notifications as we continue to work closely with our law enforcement and private sector partners to keep our community safe.”

To wit, the WWE COO Paul Levesque Triple H had this to say:

“Federal, state and local law enforcement authorities have confirmed there is no specific or credible information involving a threat against tomorrow’s WWE Survivor Series at Philips Arena. However, WWE and Philips Arena have coordinated with the appropriate agencies and law enforcement, and significantly increased security measures to ensure the safety of all those in attendance, which is our highest priority.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. to help fans avoid any delays in entering the arena due to the additional precautionary security procedures put in place. Fans are encouraged to take public transportation (MARTA) to the event and are advised that bags will not be permitted in the arena.”

In other words and PR points for Triple H, “The show will go on and if ISIS isn’t down with that, I’ve got two words for you…” (Shout out to WWE fans who can finish the sentence.)

MEMO to ISIS: Next time you threaten a group of people, think twice before that group is a bunch of professional wrestling fans … in the South. You don’t stand a chance.
