Note: These screenshots were captured in the YouTube application on iOS.

Step 1: Tap “Inbox” at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2: Tap the chat you wish to add participants to. Note: If you’ve recently looked at your YouTube notifications, you may need to tap “Messages” at the top of the Inbox screen to see your chats.

Step 3: Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 4: Tap “Add participants.” Note: You can also tap “View participants” and then tap “Add participants” on the page that appears, but this adds an extra step to the process.

Step 5: Tap any contacts you wish to add to the chat. You can also tap “Send an invite link” at the top of the screen to invite users to the chat outside of the YouTube app.

Step 6: If you selected someone on your contact list, tap “Add” in the top-right corner of the screen to finish adding them to the chat.
