If you accidentally click on a YouTube video you weren’t really interested in, there’s a chance YouTube may start recommending similar content for you to watch. However, you also have the option to remove individual videos from your watch history to alter your recommendations. YouTube said removing a video from your watch history “may reduce the chance that you’ll see similar recommendations in the future.”

Our guide will show you how to remove a video from your watch history within the YouTube mobile application.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the YouTube app on iOS. Also note, in addition to removing individual videos, you have the option to clear your entire watch history at once.

Step 1: Tap “Library” in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Tap “History.”

Step 3: Tap the three vertical dots next to the video you want to remove from your watch history. Note: You can find a video by either scrolling through your watch history, or by tapping “Search watch history” near the top of the screen to search for a video manually.

Step 4: Tap “Remove from Watch history.”
