KnowledgeBase’s Gary Laben Honored With Taylor Institute’s Direct Marketer of the Year Award

The Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing, part of University of Akron in Ohio, has selected Gary Laben, CEO of data and information services provider KnowledgeBase Marketing, as the 2009 recipient of its four-year-old Direct Marketer of the Year Award.

Laben is a 20-year veteran of the direct marketing industry, and currently serves on the boards of the Direct Marketing Association’s Direct Marketing Educational Foundation, which he chairs, and the Ethics Policy Committee.

The Taylor Institute’s Direct Marketer of Year selection is based on nominations from academics and practitioners, with the recipient determined by the Taylor Institute’s Executive Advisory Board,

Laben accepted the award this past Tuesday at the school’s Interaction 2010 program, at which he delivered the keynote presentation, “The Power of Meaningful Marketing.”
