Watching how TV news has covered the coronavirus is a reminder that the pandemic affects us all. Hundreds of local, national and international anchors and reporters have taken us into their homes to tell us how Covid-19 has affected their communities. And in some cases, those TV news anchors and reporters have themselves contracted the virus.
Bill Ritter is the main anchor for WABC-TV in New York, the U.S. city hardest hit by the virus. And while he’s still anchoring the news, he’s also recovering from a case of Covid-19, which was confirmed when he had an antibody test. Today, TVSpy editor Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel catches up with Ritter for perspective on covering—and fighting—Covid-19.
