Mediaweek TV: Music Still Works on TV

MTV may have abandoned its original mission of pairing music with television. But the combination remains a profitable one, as Fox’s American Idol continues to prove.

But from an artistic standpoint, the mixing of music with TV, can be less than satisfying, as Fox’s American Idol also continues to prove. Of course, there are exceptions, as Mediaweek correspondent Alan Frutkin explains in his latest video report.
