Yet another company has pulled out of June’s postponed Digital Content NewFronts.

Meredith, the magazine publisher with publications that include People, Better Homes & Gardens and Allrecipes, will not court advertisers with a NewFronts presentation this year due to the “current climate,” the company said today.

“With lots of unknowns and variables we’re facing this spring, we’re taking a pass this time around. That said, we’re committed to supporting NewFront over the long term, and we expect to be back in 2021,” a Meredith spokesperson said.

As COVID-19 took hold in the U.S., Meredith initially said it would stream its presentation that it would otherwise have held in-person during the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s NewFronts week, which had been originally scheduled for April 27-May 6 in New York.

The IAB later said it would make all presentations virtual, before ultimately postponing the event by nearly two months to the week of June 22.

However, a number of organizations that had previously committed to holding NewFronts presentations said they would not be participating in the delayed event, including Twitter, Digitas and Amazon. A fourth NewFronts presenter, Walmart-owned Vudu, dropped out weeks earlier, following the IAB’s decision to pivot to a digital presentation.
