NBC Local Media announced Thursday (April 22) key management changes in its digital team. Gregory Gittrich was named vp of digital media and editor in chief. Lora Le Sage was promoted to vp of digital media, operations, from director of integrated media for NBC Chicago.
In addition to the two promotions, NBC Local Media also announced that Brian Buchwald, evp of local integrated media for the division, is leaving the company “to pursue another opportunity.”
Gittrich previously served as vp, content/editor in chief for the digital group. In his new role, he takes on responsibility for the organization’s overall product vision, including the 10 NBC “Locals Only” city sites and the company’s new “Feast” franchise. He’ll also oversee marketing for the group’s digital products and will continue to manage editorial and content.
“Greg has played a pivotal role in our audience and revenue growth and the evolution of our products. He brings the right blend of creativity and business savvy to this new role, along with a keen editorial vision that is consistent with NBC’s impressive legacy,” said Greg Scholl, president of local media platforms, to whom both Gittrich and Le Sage report.
In her new position, Le Sage will oversee product development, ad sales, business operations and finance for NBC Local Media’s digital operations, working with the digital leaders in the group’s 10 markets.
